Bird Control - Flock Control
There are some situations where displacement of nuisance birds is not possible due to perhaps an abundance of features making proofing unsuitable or where falconry alone will not work because the size of location means that displaced birds are just moved to another part of the same site.
In these cases an integration of multiple techniques is required starting with a reduction in numbers. This can be achieved by either large scale trapping over limited periods or by shooting roosting birds.
Trapping will only be succeed where the program is limited to a finite period usually between four to six weeks and where the correct type of trap is used.
We build our own traps to a carefully developed specification which can trap large numbers in short period avoiding the vacuum effect which occurs when relying on the smaller versions available. These traps are installed and maintained daily to legal requirements in an extremely humane and discreet manner.
If culling by shooting is required this is be only done by BPCA trained professionals within legal requirements and rigorously self imposed codes of good practice. Before a shot is fired consultation occurs with the relevant police force and client advice is followed in terms of logistical implecations.
